Welcome Elizabeth Strong!

The Study Away Office would like to welcome our new interim director Elizabeth Strong!!
She so far she has been a terrific addition to our staff :)

She will be working with the staff and learning about the office. If you happen to stop by definitely feel free to say "hi"!!!

And we all survived... barely

Six flags went awesome! It was a beautiful day.... very cold by evening so we let around 7 pm.

Everyone seemed to have fun! Unfortunately on the way back we suffered a flat tire, but thanks to the Austrian and French guy and NOT the police officer ;) we all made it back safely!

I am now taking suggestions for our next outing in November! Please e-mail Lauren2001@live.missouristate.edu with ideas.

Thanks everyone!!!

.....And the game was a success!

Fortunately we missed the rain for the Springfield Cardinals last weekend of home games and got to see all the action (or lack of) during the 3 hour game! Yay! the home team won.

After getting our names announced, recieving commemorative coins, and informally raffling off the free cardinals t-shirt (Congrats Franco!!),I believe the highlight of the evening was unanimously the fireworks!!!
Stay Tuned for next month's activity.... I'm thinking amusement park.... :)

Welcome Students!

After the past two weeks of hectic airport pickups, apartment searches, dorm moves, and several trips to residence life and services, the PSU, and the always trusty T-mobile, all of our international students are settled and have successully began their first semester at MSU.

This Friday the Study Away Organization for the 2009- 2010 school will kickstart the fun with a Springfield Cardinals game at 7:10 pm. It's sure to bring many american rituals to light including overpriced beer, overindulgence of hotdogs, peanuts, and cracker jack, as well as an all out traditional display of fireworks.

We hope to see any and all of you there!

If you have any questions please contact the new Study Away Office Graduate Assistant and Study Away Organization President Lauren Reiter at Lauren2001@live.missouristate.edu
